Prosperous up until the end of the XVIIIth century, the town later became active with the construction of the dyke for the rivers Isère and Arly. This led to the development of l’Hôpital-sous-Conflans in the plain.
In 1836 King Charles Albert united the two communes to form Albertville.
Since 1930, with the help of the Albertville town council and the friends of ‘Old Conflans’, the city has regained its vitality. Today, Conflans welcomes you all year round to its maze of narrow streets, its colourful shady terraces, and its boutiques.
