The Olympic Park was made up of the sponsors' village, the training ice-rink, the Olympic Hall, the race track, the opening and closing ceremonies amphitheatre and the COJO headquarters (the Olympic Organisation Committee).
The ‘Olympic architecture’ of the park respects the style echoed throughout the Games: white was the chosen colour, signifying purity and modernity, and the mass structure plays on the oblique angles to mirror the profile of the mountains. Subsequent re-conversion of these buildings was paramount throughout the construction stages.
